Abstract
There is broad agreement that an organization's social context critically influences individual
behavior and performance in an effort to understand the impact of oigjnizational social context
experiences increasing roles such as increased role responsibility and accountability, extra-role
behavior or citizenship (helping and voicing), organizational commitment, and protective
behavior . The importance of leadership, in increasing 'work engagement', occurs when people
commit to their work and are motivated to achieve high-level performance. The objectives of
this study are: 1. To find out and analyze the influence of the work environment on
organizational commitment; 2. To find out and analyze the influence of organizational climate
on organizational commitment; 3. To find out and analyze the influence of leadership on
organizational commitment; 4. To find out and analyze the influence of the work environment
on lecturer performance; 5. To find out and analyze the influence of organizational climate on
lecturer performance; 6. To find out and analyze the effect of leadership on lecturer
performance; 7. To find out and analyze the effect of organizational commitment on lecturer
performance; 8. To determine and analyze the indirect effect of work environment,
organizational climate and leadership on lecturer performance through variables between
organizational commitment Based on consideration of time, energy, and funds, as well as the
scope of the problem and the large number of subjects in a population of 53 people, this study
uses census research. Where all members of the population are sampled. The results of the
study can be summarized as follows: 1. The work environment does not have a significant effect
on organizational commitment; 2. organizational climate has a significant effect on
organizational commitment; 3. leadership has a significant effect on organizational
commitment; 4. the work environment has a significant effect on lecturer performance; 5.
organizational climate significantly influence the performance of lecturers; 6. leadership does
not significantly influence the performance of lecturers; 7. organizational commitment does not
significantly influence the performance of lecturers; 8. work environment, organizational
climate and leadership each directly influence the performance of lecturers through variables
between organizational commitment.
