THE EFFECT OF LIFESTYLE AND PROMOTION ON CONSUMPTION BEHAVIOR ON UNIQL CONSUMERS
The clothing retail business is a business that develops every year. This business
requires continuous innovation in order to survive in the market competition. What's
more, there are now many clothing retailers who have expanded their marketing to all
over the world. One of them is a clothing retail company from Japan, Uniqlo. In order to
continue to operate, management needs to increase the driving factors of people's
consumptive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lifestyle
and promotion on consumer behavior. The population of this quantitative research is
consumers who buy fashion products at Uniqlo outlets. This study used 140
respondents as the research sample. Research data obtained through a questionnaire
which will then be processed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The
results showed that lifestyle had a significant effect on consumptive behavior. The
results of data processing also prove that there is a significant influence given by
promotion to consumptive behavior. Lifestyle and promotion are proven to have a
significant effect on consumptive behavior together.
